Paint Me Pretty is a show where makeup artist in the DMV area compete for the title of "Makeup Artist of the Year".  Makeup artist will be in attendance showcasing their expertise and creativity as a makeup artist.  I attended this show earlier this year and i must say i loved it!!!! False Eyelashes!!

I am a true fan of eyelash strips.  They are much easier and take up less time when im out doing makeup.  Individual lashes take up a little more time and i find that eyelash strips are easier for me when im on a time limit and have several faces to do.  I usually purchase my lashes from the beauty supply stores or from sally's.  There isn't a particular brand that i like more than the other.  I usually go and buy 5 to 6 pairs on each visit and i pick up a variety of styles when i do.  It all depends on what type of makeup i have to do.  Here is a pic of what the lashes look like from Sally's.   You can go to my website http://www.platinumfacescosmetics.com/ and see the different style of lashes i use on clients.  Talk to you soon!!!!

Heyyyyyyy........As you know i am a freelance makeup artist and i work with a wonderful photographer Ric Hicks.  Ric is the owner of Amore' Imaging Photography company. http://amoreimaging.com/  Check his website out and if you are in need of some pictures please hit him up....i promise you will not be disappointed and he works with all budgets.  Well Ric and I worked on a photo shoot last week and it went absolutely fantastic!!!!! I just wanted to show you all one of the pics!!! 

Monistat Anti-Chafing Relief Gel

If you are looking for a primer that's well within your budget!!!  Then try Monistat Anti-Chafing Relief Gel.  I use this product as a primer on my clients face before i apply any makeup.  It's a great anti-shine product.  It's cheaper than high priced cosmetics and works just as good.  When i work on clients i turn the tube over so that they don't have to ask why I'm putting monistat on their face, lol!!!

Urban Decay Primer!!!

Finally Urban Decay Primer Potion in a squeeze tube.  The squeeze tube is very convenient and easy to use. You are able to control the product application better.  I love using urban decay primer it keeps my clients eyeshadow from creasing.  Its more expensive for the squeeze tube.  But i think its well worth it!!! 

Drugstore Cosmetics!!!

I wanted to let you know that there are some excellent drugstore cosmetics out here that are just as good as the high end cosmetics.  Some that i use on a regular basis on clients are the L'Oreal Hip eyeshadow duos, Black Opal foundation sticks, Rimmel face primer just to name a few.  You don't have to go to the department stores and purchase MAC, Chanel, or DIOR your local drugstores have makeup that is just as good if not better at half the price.!!!!

If you are a fan of MAC Pro Longwear colors than you will be excited to know that they have some new colors coming out for the fall.  They will debut on September 16!!!!  They are coming out with 12 new colors.  I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone, this is my very first post..........

I was inspired by many makeup artist to start my own blog.  To give you a little insite on me I am a freelance makeup artist with my own cosmetic line "Platinum Faces Cosmetics".  I love everything about makeup!!!!
